  elders wont pray for someone?

  a former member said that elders told a relative of his after she was dfed that they would not be praying for her.

  is that some kind of policy, or were they just doing their own thing in that instance?

  I am df'd as some of you know. I often think of the scripture to pray for those persecuting you. Matthew 5:44-45

  i was ministered to by several different people at a jw funeral i attended today.

  one older lady said to me, "you know the end is right around the corner, just look at the state of the world today".

  i said, "well yes but that has been the mantra for decades, remember 'stay alive till '75'".

  They had a follow up to the Prison Witnessing Seminar. Looks like they have spent a lot of time on this. Does anyone know if they have seminars on widows and oprhans?

  Also I was surprised to see that all COs are described as taking an active interest in prison ministry.

  When doing prison witnessing the elders have been informed not take drugs or potential weapons in.

  Also they are to be especially careful with keys (if they are issued) and they must leave doors and gates as they found them – locked or open.

  also, if you went into a hall how would you like to respond to the question.. 8. how should we respond to lies?.

  If I was still at the KH I would like to answer the OP's question by saying, "the Watchtower gives us a fine reminder to never argue with those taking the lead. If we want to debate something it would be better not to come."

  I would be careful not to mention having to leave the hall by tread over all the burning arrows at the end of every meeting.

  What can a therapist really do?

  hi all, i've not read the forums for awhile as i've been trying to move on with my life but i'm back and posting for the first time feeling like i cant get a grip.

  so i'm wondering for those of you that have seen a therapist and say that it truly helps, what can be accomplished?

  i'm just really skeptical, but starting to feel desperate.

  You never really forget what has happened to you. No therapist really understands unless they've been through it. Find a true friend who understands. It'll be cheaper.
  

  Also the therapist is part of a professional body (aka organisation)... buyer beware.

  Their brand must remain untarnished.

  But so long as your actions do not tarnish the brand (you do good cover ups) you can get away with whatever you want to do.

  The source of a their false doctrine is pagan. From what I can see, it all goes back to Theosophy, also called Theo Sufism. It is much tied up with seeking to destroy the Christian faith. Also Anarchy, Communism and celebrity (via Lord Byron who influenced the early Decemberists).
